COVID Relief Fund

In May, India was desperately gasping for air. We saw a heath crisis like never before - the second wave hit India with brutal force.

While we all wish we could end this suffering completely, we can't. What we can do is our part. Which is why we have decided to partner with "Soldiers of Hope" to help bring aid to rural India. From now May 27 till the end of June 30, 20% of all revenue generated from our online store was donated to the efforts of Soldiers of Hope.

The organization set up its first Covid relief centre in Khanpur, Ballia, Uttar Pradesh. The relief camp was equipped with oxygen concentrators, oximetres, glucometers, BP machines, wheelchairs, beds, medicine supplies and other Covid 19 essentials. They also distributed masks, soaps and sanitizers to all the villagers. They also arrange regular video consultation with doctors from Delhi and Mumbai to ensure the villagers give the virus a good fight.

The funds from Studio Covers went towards setting up two more COVID relief centers as a result of receiving SOS calls from these places. One of the places was in Pilibhit near Bareilly. The other was in Tika Deori Nagpura, Ballia. The funds were used for purchasing oxygen concentrators, medical devices, medicines, and other essential supplies.

Further, Soldiers of Hope’s initiative Ovaat has conducted three menstrual hygiene campaigns in the villages of Rajasthan, (Hasore, Thata, and Luniyawas) with the support of a young, committed doctor, Dr Mahendra as well as local doctors. They have also distributed sanitary napkins, arranged for individual medical treatment and care for critical patients who were turned away from government hospitals, dispensed groceries and wheelchairs for the specially-abled in various places including Delhi/NCR, as well as conducted ration distribution drives for families in distress in Rajasthan. They’re currently working in Bihar, West Bengal, and Jharkhand and are on their way to Sunderbans to set up relief camps.
